Fist edition, third printing hardcover copy of Donn Fendler: Lost on a Mountain in Maine as told to Joseph B. Egan (The Welles Publishing Company, 1939). Very rare early printing of the first edition, produced just one month after the first printing. With several photographs and illustrations. Fendler’s true tale of getting lost and found in the Mount Katahdin Wilderness.
Moderate wear to covers. Corners bumped and with some staining towards outer edges. Boards faintly bowed away from text block at corners. Binding is loosening with a few splits. Soiling, stamps/faint writing and staple holes to front endpaper, with some staple discoloration/dents to first few pages. Tanning pages with soiling towards outer edges. See photos for condition.
